Library Resources for Lincoln, Omaha, and Online Students

How to Access the Doane Library Online

All Doane students have access to online library materials. All you need is an internet connection!

You MUST access library resources from the library website or a research guide (like the one you're using right now). After you click on the resource you want to use, if you are off campus, you will be asked to log in using your Doane credentials. This is the same login information you use for your Doane Gmail, Canvas, etc. The login screen looks like this:

Once you have logged in, you should be able to continue using library resources without having to log in again unless you close your internet browser. If you are having trouble logging in, contact the Service Center at 402-826-8411.

If you are on campus, you should not see this login screen!

Borrowing from Other Libraries

What if Perkins Library doesn’t have the item you need for your research? You can still get access to these resources using a free service called InterLibrary Loan. InterLibrary Loan (ILL) allows you to request items that can be borrowed from other libraries and delivered to you, physically or electronically.

To request materials through InterLibrary Loan, you simply log in to your ILL account and fill out the request form. You can access your account from the library website, or this direct link. You’ll get a confirmation email when your request is received, and another email when the item you requested is available. Articles are delivered electronically via email, and books are delivered physically to the Crete or Lincoln campus.
