"Robert Taylor: A Golden-Era Hollywood Movie King From Nebraska"

Copyright © 1993 by E. A. Kral

About the local author E. A. Kral: "...Following his research and publications about Golden Era movie star Robert Taylor in the early 1990s, he also helped Gage County officials in honoring Taylor via the designation of the Robert Taylor Memorial Highway from Beatrice to Filley in 1994, the establishment of the Robert Taylor Collection at the Gage County Historical Society Museum, and the funding of the Robert Taylor Scholarship with the Beatrice Educational Foundation, which was first awarded in 2007. For more than a decade he cooperated with Hollywood biographers Jane Ellen Wayne, Linda J. Alexander, and Charles Tranberg. His research on nationally distinguished Nebraskans, begun on a part-time basis in 1995, resulted in the identification of more than 900 individuals, and publication of a bio-bibliography on the websites of the Nebraska State Education Association (NSEA) and the Nebraska Press Association, culminating with his Internet document titled 900 Famous Nebraskans in July 2008."
