Dr. Tessa Durham Brooks, Dr. Erin Doyle, and Dr. Mark Meysenburg taught a four-day image processing workshop during the week of 5/28/2024. The workshop is part of the DIVAS Alliance, an NSF-funded program that is a community of students, staff, and faculty, most of whom are in the natural sciences, who support each other in developing computational problem-solving skills that are in high demand in medicine, agriculture, basic research, and industry. During the workshop, they taught eighteen students from Doane, the University of Nebraska Omaha, the University of Nebraska Kearney, the University of Michigan, and Trinity University. After the workshop, the DIVAS student scholars spend four weeks applying their newly acquired image processing skills to various real-world research problems.
