This guide describes the resources and services available to Doane University students doing legal research.

Online citation help

The Doane Library recommends using the free (up to 300MB storage) online citation management software, Zotero. This software allows you to:

  • organize your references, PDFs and images 
  • create bibliographies and in-text citations
  • take notes on references and PDFs
  • collaborate with others by sharing documents

In addition, Zotero has an automated bibliography generator, called ZoteroBib, for those one-off bibliographies you don't need to save.
