Books owned by the Doane library can be borrowed for 8 weeks by Doane students. You can renew them unlimited times unless another user requests the book.
When you find a print book in the library catalog simply click on the Place a Hold button in the Access Options box, then select a pick up location. If you cannot come to the library in Crete, we can arrange for the books to be available for pick up on the Lincoln campus in the Fred Brown Building.
Ebooks can be accessed with the View eBook link. (You will need to login with your Doane credentials to access ebooks from off-campus.)
What if you don't find books on your topic in the Doane Library? No worries! You can request books from other libraries throughout the United States via a service called Interlibrary Loan. The library requests the book for you and then you get to use it for the time allowed by the lending library. Once you're finished, we'll return it for you. This service costs you NOTHING (except the time to have the book sent to Doane)!
