Did you know that the Doane Library can get resources from other libraries for you FOR FREE? Yes, we can with a service called Interlibrary Loan! Most of our databases and the catalog have links to the request form embedded so you only need to review the information and submit the request. Easy peasy! You also can request items discovered outside the library's databases by filling out this Interlibrary Loan request form(also found in the list of Quick Links on the Library's main page).
Articles typically are sent to your email and are yours to keep. Physical items like books and DVDs must be returned to the Doane Library by the date indicated on the cover.
Research Tip: Search Multiple Databases!Question: If I've found some articles in one database why would I use other databases? Answer: Because other databases might have access to other articles that are even more relevant to your research! Each database has some unique coverage that no other database has; that's why there are so many listed on this page. If you only search one database, you may be missing out on some really good stuff in another database! That includes searching in the multidisciplinary databases. Confused about which databases to search? Contact Jayne for research help! |
