School Counseling

This guide is developed to support the research of students enrolled in Doane University's School Counseling program.

Welcome!

Welcome to the School Counseling Research Guide! The Doane University Library provides access to a variety of print and electronic resources for school counseling research. Use the tabs on the left to explore recommended counseling research tools.

More importantly, you have access to librarians who are expert researchers! If you need help with your research or have a question about the library, please feel free to email either librarian: jayne.germer@doane.edu or cali.biaggi@doane.eduHappy researching!

Top Tips in a Nutshell

Get the essentials with this Tip Sheet (PDF). Then refer to the boxes on this and other tabs to the left for more in-depth information.

Access Library Resources from Off-campus

All Doane students have access to online library materials. All you need is an internet connection!

You MUST access library resources from the library website or a research guide (like the one you're using right now). After you click on the resource you want to use, if you are off campus, you will be asked to log in using your Doane credentials. This is the same login information you use for your Doane Gmail, Canvas, etc. The login screen looks like this:

Once you have logged in, you should be able to continue using library resources without having to log in again unless you close your internet browser. If you are having trouble logging in, contact the Service Center at 402-826-8411.

If you are on campus, you should not see this login screen!
